Loren Lasky
About: Directors & Staff - Loren Lasky

Loren R. Lasky has 35 years of experience as an environmental consultant and regulator in the New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania area. She has a Master’s degree in Geology from the Colorado School of Mines and is a registered Professional Geologist in the states of Delaware and North Carolina.

As a consultant for EPA on the Region III FIT team, she was in the field when today’s Superfund sites were first being sampled. In private consulting, she has worked on diverse projects throughout the area: from tank pulls at the Philadelphia Airport, to discovering unmapped waste disposal pits at the former Roebling Steel factory on historic air photos, to the cleanup of a PCE spill and UV peroxidation treatment of an impacted public supply well at a South Jersey airport. And at the NJ Dep’t. of Environmental Protection, she had the opportunity to oversee the remediation, and sometimes closure, of many complex projects all over the state.

Loren was the Chairman of the New York-Philadelphia (NYP) Chapter of AEG (2010-2014), the highlight of which time was the popular 2012 Geologic Cruise around the island of Manhattan. She has served on AEG’s Governance and Programs committees and now works on student scholarships as a Director of the AEG Foundation. She has been a Member of AEG since 1977.
