Gary C. Luce (M-GB) –Geologist/Geotechnical Engineer, Resource Concepts, Carson City, NV 2014-present: Senior Geologist/Geotechnical Engineer.

Gary began his career after graduating with a geology degree in 1979 as a minerals exploration geologist primarily working in the basin and range. He earned his Master’s degree and second undergraduate degree in Geological Engineering in 1992. He is a licensed Civil Engineer in Nevada and California. His primary professional responsibilities include site characterization, tunnel investigations, rock mechanics evaluations, slope stability- rockfall investigations and mitigation design, fault studies, heap leach construction and tailings dam evaluations.

His AEG experience began as Student Chapter President at University of Nevada Reno from 1989 through 1992. He helped found the Great Basin Section in 1996 when he was Vice Chair of the then Reno Chapter of the Southwest Section. He chaired the AEG Great Basin Section in 1997. In 2002 he co-chaired the Reno Annual Meeting and again in 2009 he served as co-chair of the Lake Tahoe Annual Meeting. From 2011 to 2015 he served on the Executive Council of AEG.
